Fast and straightforward refit solution

The Engine Control System WECS 2000 is an old Wärtsilä control system for diesel engines and generators on ships. The original system consists of two bus lines, numerous electronic components in the central control unit and several data acquisition units around the engine.

We have developed a cost-effective refit solution for the WECS 2000 that allows you to replace your old system quickly and easily. It consists of switch cabinet with an integrated touchscreen display and an engine safety system.

How we set up your system

We replace your old components

The original system consists of two bus lines, numerous electronic components in the central control unit and several data acquisition units all around the engine.

The old engine build-on control unit and the screen will be removed and replaced by a local control panel while the new control unit is built in separate cabinet. 

The refit solution contains a high-resolution touchscreen display with a modern and intuitiv user interface to monitor and control the engine.

Keep your working sensors

The local data acquisition units (SDU, DCU) will be replaced by simple junction boxes, which enables you to keep the original sensors. New cables are laid between the junction boxes, the central unit and the local control panel. The interfaces of the new hardware match your existing sensors and you do not need to replace them. 

If necessary, we replace the old sensors. With us as a manufacturer of maritime sensors, you also have the right local contact here.
