NORIS and YANMAR cooperate successfully

NORIS and YANMAR have been working closely together for two years already. NORIS supplies the suitable local engine control for the highly reliable marine diesel engines of the Japanese engine manufacturer. This partnership has resulted in 40 delivered systems since 2016. The projects range from individual trawlers to series of eight ships in total.

In the case of the current projects, NORIS is also implementing special wishes of the customer. For the eight-ship project of the Okskaya shipyard in Russia, a multi-language support was integrated into the local controls (LOPs). This will at first enable a switchover between English and Russian and shortly Spanish as well for another project.

In order to make it easier for YANMAR and its partners to commission the local engine controls, NORIS has built an engine simulator for the YANMAR engines. It can be used to simulate commissioning and possible errors at the company's training center at the headquarters in Nuremberg. In December 2018, the first training courses for technicians of YANMAR and various partner companies from a total of nine different countries were held.

Both companies, NORIS and YANMAR, are very satisfied with the progress of the projects so far. Thus, we are looking forward to a further successful cooperation and we are excited about future projects and challenges.
