In September 2016, BIBUS MENOS and NORIS signed a memorandum of understanding at the exhibition InnoTrans and thereby pave the way for a strategic partnership in the field of railway technology. Both companies benefit from this agreement. In the middle-term, BIBUS MENOS expands its product portfolio with NORIS sensors, e. g. speed and temperature sensors and provides support for after sales service to its customers. NORIS is able to intensify its Polish support for existing customers. In the long-term, both companies expect new contracts, e. g. with Polish train manufacturers, because the EU granted Poland in their financial perspective the record amount of 82.5 billion Euro subsidies. Besides investments in passenger and freight transportation, the trams and metros should be modernised and about 600 new wagons should be acquired. “We are looking forward to collaborating with this first class partner and we are sure to improve our Polish customer support through the local partner BIBUS MENOS”, says Michael Schmidmer, managing director of the NORIS Group GmbH.
