We present our smart concept for wireless data logging on moveable parts

NORIS is developing a wireless sensor system with a passive, superior transponder as the basis, which operates without its own energy source due to an inductive principle. The transponder is supplied with energy by means of an electromagnetic induction and stores and transmits the measurement data of e. g. temperature, acceleration or pressure sensor elements or of sensor combinations to a receiver at regular intervals. This principle is ideally suited to condition monitoring. Typical application possibilities are bearing temperature detection in big end bearings or crank bearings, measurement of shaft torsion or the recording of rotor temperature in an electric motor. Furthermore, the measurement system, in combination with a speed sensor, is also suited to speed acquisition with the help of non-ferromagnetic materials, like for example aluminium or even plastic.
