Felix Weiss recognised for promoting the image of Rostock

Felix Weiss, Managing Director of Noris Automation GmbH has been honoured by the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock for its outstanding contribution to promoting the city’s image and reputation.

The award was presented during the 28th Entrepreneur Awards ceremony held at Rostock City Hall. Hosted by Mayor Eva-Maria Kröger, the event recognises companies and entrepreneurs whose commitment and achievements make a significant contribution to the economic development and public profile of the city.

Based in Rostock, Noris Automation develops and manufactures propulsion control and automation systems for the global maritime industry. The company’s solutions are deployed worldwide on modern cargo vessels, ferries, expedition ships, cruise vessels and even one of the ten largest megayachts in the world.

In her laudatory speech, Anke Knitter, Chair of the Economic Affairs and Procurement Committee of Rostock’s City Council, highlighted the company’s international impact: “Noris demonstrates how a company from Rostock can set standards worldwide. With every control system and every project, Noris Automation carries the name of Rostock out into the world and stands for engineering excellence made in Rostock.”

The award underlines Noris Automation’s strong commitment to its Rostock location and highlights the importance of maritime engineering expertise from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in international markets. At the same time, it is a recognition of the dedication and expertise of all employees who contribute every day to developing reliable and innovative solutions for the shipping industry.
