NORIS Automation distributes the first two energy storage systems

As of late, NORIS Automation GmbH in Rostock is the sales partner for energy storage systems of the company PBES (Plan B Energy Storage). The systems are based on liquid cooled and encapsulated high power battery modules. They are used, amongst other things, for hybrid or fully electric propulsion systems and currently rank among the safest in the world.

NORIS Automation now distributed the first two systems. The projects were ordered by the Estonian Baltic Workboats Shipyard. The first project is a battery storage system with 273 kW on a 45 m patrol boat. The second one is a battery storage system with an electric power of 137 kW on a passenger ferry with a length of 27 m. For both solutions, high capacities of 450 Ah and respectively 225 Ah and also high voltages up to 700 V are necessary to ensure secure ship operation during peak loads. Delivery date for both systems is expected in April or May 2018.
