Project Engineer for Maritime Automation Systems (m/f/d)

Rostock, full-time, permanent
 

Your responsibilities:
  • Independent conception and design of integrated maritime automation, monitoring, and control systems
  • Technical guidance and coordination of team members involved in the project from the areas of design, software development, and manufacturing

  • Clarification of technical requirements with customers in compliance with international classification regulations

  • System integration and interface coordination of various interconnected systems

  • Project management and controlling regarding deadlines, budget, and quality from order receipt to handover

  • Conducting factory acceptance tests and quality assurance of hardware and software components in the test field

  • Worldwide on-site commissioning and technical support during sea trials at shipyards and on board

  • Creation of technical documentation and conducting system training for ship crews
     

Your Profile:
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering is mandatory, ideally in the maritime sector
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming is desirable

  • Basic knowledge of CAD design / EPLAN is desirable

  • Experience in shipbuilding or with maritime applications (e.g., through work on board ships) 

  • German/English at least B2 level

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (national/international)
