The eagle on track

Adler 2019When a traditional company like NORIS is talking about “Adler” (EN: eagle), we do not mean the elegant raptor. We are talking about the first locomotive in Germany, which started its maiden journey from Nuremberg to the neighbouring city Fuerth on 7th December 1835.

The 6 km long trip took 9 minutes and probably led to adrenaline and exhilaration of the passengers. For more than 20 years, the locomotive imported from England shuttled between the two cities. This day is a very special day for us as manufacturer of sensors for the railway industry and we proudly look back on this event.
